When I was in primary school, I had a struggle with the schoolwork. In grade 1 I had to do this grade twice. The reason was the concentration aspect, and other things that lead to it. I had too nearly do grade 5 (standard 4) over again but got put through on my age. Now the question was, was I a dumb kid?.The answer is no, for I turned out a successful adult. Children that struggle with schoolwork gets tagged very quickly, and other children can be very cruel with their words.
Think about the Titanic, the ship crew saw a small piece of an iceberg, in the end of the day that little iceberg sank that great big ship. It is not always that what is on the surface that is the problem but what is under the surface that is the big problem. Someone may seem ok but deep down he / she is not ok.
A divorce, ADHD the list is unending that could be the problem.
the greatest thing to do is, encourage your child give him / her love and accept your child for what he/ she is. Don't speak death (negative things) over your child. Rather speak life (positive things) over your child. A parent can make or break a child. Parent build up your child, spend time with him / her. Life is full of negativity let the home environment be a place of positiveness. Parent' each child has greatness in him / her, build on their strong points and you will see he / she will become a great adult. The battle is not lost.
