There is a saying in life "money is not everything". This saying is in many ways true. There is one major problem that does not get mentioned and it is, life is
very uncomfortable without money. I want to talk today about finance. I think it is quite a major issue in life. I have seen a lot of people breaking up because of finances. Major fights between husband and wife is because there is not enough finances to meet the needs in home. I know about this for my wife and I had the same issues with this. Another culprit 
is wrong decision that are or were made, this is a issue I will talk about at a later stage. There was a time that I looked and tried many money making opportunities, for I too was looking for ways to make more money. I have been scammed a couple of times in my life because of this search for making more income. This creates a type of caution in life to not get yourself into the same situation, it makes a person scared to try something even if it works. I believe it is not just me that went  through this. When I saw a video on this business I am in now, I had to go for it or to leave it. I wanted to make a change, the choice was in my hands. My choice was to go for it, and I am not disappointed. GREATEST PROTECTION

I was protected in a accident with a Koedoe buck.

I qualified as boilermaker in 1991 and got married in 1993. My wife and I decided to go and visit my parents in Oudshoorn in the Cape Province a year after we were married. We had a great time at my parents. As always all good  things must come to an end for some more good things to come. It got time to leave, we prayed and left. When we got to the fuel station to put petrol in my vehicle, my wife realized that she forgot some or other makeup product in my parent's fridge. When arriving back at my parents home, my sister came to hear what we wanted back. I told her that we decided to stay another day. I then told her that we are just getting my wife's makeup in the fridge. 00:15 That night between Oudshoorn and Baufordwest a Koedoe cow hit us, for 200 meters the vehicle went sideways just as it wanted to roll a piece of concrete pillar knocked it back onto it's wheels. The vehicle was pushed over a trench the width of the vehicle. We with the vehicle went through the air the height of a normal house and landed in a fence. The greatest thing of this is when we when't through the air we were surrounded by a great bright light, we did not even feel that we landed and did not sustain any injuries. The impact of the fall broke the gearbox mounting of the vehicle but we were ok. We drove back at 60 km back to Oudshoorn. We had to spend another day at my parents for I had to sort things out with my assurance.  We saw all that happened the next day when we investigated the accident scene. There are two things that we learned out of this is
1) God's angels do still protect us as people.
2) There is strength in what you say.
We said we are going to stay another day, although it was a joke we did stay another day. This is maybe something small but please be cautious in what you say. think twice talk once.
Be sure God still looks after you. although it may not feel like it sometimes.

Broken crayons and mirrors.

Do you feel broken and shattered and worthless? A word of encouragement. Broken crayons still color. Shattered mirrors still reflect light. Being broken does not mean you are useless. Every broken and shattered piece of life is a part of what makes each of us beautiful and meaningful. No one colors the world quite like you. No one reflects the light of existence the way you can.

It was great timing.

Time is a great part of our lives.

I work for the Engineering company I was a boilermaker apprentice by for 2 years, when I got call up papers from the Defence Force. That time the government forced young men who finished school to do defence force, the age was from 18+. To come back to the call up for the defence force . I still remember my mother was very hart sore for my oldest brother got called up that January of 1986 and I got called up that June of 1986. I did my defence force time. Through the grace of God I got home alive, there were others that lost their lives on the border that was with me. My brother finished his  defence force time 6 months before me, he too was safe. In the time I was in the defence force my parents moved to another town in another province. This changed some things for me, when I was working I stayed at my parents. I went to the town my parents moved and applied for a job at a iron ore mine. My mother took me for the interview ( I have a great mother she was always there for me). The man that interviewed me was one of the many parents that lost a son in the defence force. He told my mother that she is lucky to have gotten me back from the defence force. He took me in to go on with my apprenticeship. I resigned my other job by the engineering company when I started by the iron ore mine (Thabazimbi Iscor mine). I was 1 year there when I went to see how it was going with  engineering company I worked at before starting on Iscor, when arriving there I found out that 3 months after I resigned the company closed down. Wow what   great timing it was, God's timing was just right. When things don't go as you plan just trust in God, His timing is perfect.

Food for the soul.

A encouraging peace about a duck.
There was a little boy and his sister visiting their grandparents on their farm. The grandfather gave the boy a slingshot to go and play with in the woods. The boy kept on practicing in the woods; but could never hit the target he shot at. He got a little discouraged, he headed back for dinner... As he was walking back he saw his grandmother's pet duck. On impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in the head and killed the duck. He was shocked and grieved! In a panic, he hid the duck in a wood pile; only to see his sister was watching! Sally which is the sister name, had seen the whole crime scene, although she saw he said nothing. After lunch the next day the grandmother said "Sally, let's wash the dishes" Sally Replied. " Grandma, Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen". She then whispered to her brother "remember the duck ?". Johnny then did the dishes. Later that day their grandfather ask if the children wanted to go fishing with him, "I am sorry I need Sally to help me make supper" the Grandmother replied. Sally just smiled and said, "that is alright because Johnny told me that he wanted to help". She whispered again, "remember the duck ?". So Sally went fishing and Johnny stayed to help. After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally's; he finally couldn't take it any longer. He came to his Grandmother and confessed that he has killed her pet duck. His Grandmother knelt down, gave him a hug and said, "Sweetheart, I know. You see, I was standing at the window and saw the whole thing, but because I love you, I forgave you. I was wondering how long you would let Sally make a slave of you". 

Whatever is in your past, whatever you have done...? And the devil keeps throwing it up in your face (lying, cheating, debt, fear, bad habits, hatred, anger, bitterness, ext...) Whatever it is, you need to know: God was standing at the window and he saw the whole thing. He has seen your whole life... 
He wants you to know that He loves you and that you are forgiven. He is just wondering how long you are going to let the devil make a slave out of you. The great thing about God is that when you ask for forgiveness, He not only forgives, but  forgets too. It is by God's grace and mercy that we are saved.

Leaving school before finishing all the Grades.

I left school before finishing all my Grades.

Greetings to all. 

When I finished Grade 9 (Standard 7) I left school 1984. This was the first time my mother ever struggled with me. My mother told me I must go back to school the following year. I then replied to that, I told my mother that she can hit me to death I am not going back to school. I told her that I wanted to start to work. My mother then gave me an ultimatum, if I didn't have a job before the school started I must go back to school. I agreed to that. The following year I had a job. I started working as a apprentice motor mechanic. All was well for a couple of months till one day, the owner of the garage that I was working for called me in. He told me I must go, for he had nobody to give me training further. I only found out that the artisan that I worked with was going to leave. When I went back to the place I wrote the test to find out what type of jobs I will be able to do, the place told me that the owner of the garage I worked for that was his way to operate. He used people for cheap labour for a couple of months then he lets them go. I was 16 years old that time and I already felt how it feels to get told that I have lost my job. It was not a good feeling. I then realized after that, that I was a child in a grownup world. If I can give advise to anyone that wants to leave school before Grade 12, not to do it, try to get education before going for a job. For a young person to work in a grownup world is not easy. The time I started working it was allowed by law to work so young, these days you have to be 18 years of age. To get back to the work situation. My mother and I prayed for another job and not even a week later I had a interview by a engineering company. The Lord was so good that I got the job. I was the youngest of all and the Lord helped me and gave me the strength to become the best boilermaker apprentice they ever had. All the glory goes to God. This is where I started to learn the boilermaker trade. So although I left school young the Lord carried me through.

I learned through the work and got my N2 certificate so I did not just stay at Grade 9. I just want to say again to all that are reading this, get as much education as possible. If you can improve the way you are going to live, do it.

Is your child not doing so well at school academically?

                    Not doing well in primary school.
When I was in primary school, I had a struggle with the schoolwork. In grade 1 I had to do this grade twice. The reason was the concentration aspect, and other things that lead to it. I had too nearly do grade 5 (standard 4) over again but got put through on my age. Now the question was, was I a dumb kid?.
The answer is no, for I turned out a successful adult. Children that struggle with schoolwork gets tagged very quickly, and other children can be very cruel with their words. 
Think about the Titanic, the ship crew saw a small piece of an iceberg, in the end of the day that little iceberg sank that great big ship. It is not always that what is on the surface that is the problem but what is under the surface that is the big problem. Someone may seem ok but deep down he / she is not ok. 
A divorce, ADHD the list is unending that could be the problem.
the greatest thing to do is, encourage your child give him / her love and accept your child for what he/ she is. Don't speak death (negative things) over your child. Rather speak life (positive things) over your child. A parent can make or break a child. Parent build up your child, spend time with him / her. Life is full of negativity  let the home environment be a place of positiveness. Parent' each child has greatness in him / her, build on their strong points and you will see he / she will become a great adult. The battle is not lost.

I had a abnormal spinal cord.

                                                         Abnormal spinal cord.

When I was in grade 3, the nurses came to school to check the children's health. with the checkup they did on me, they found that I had a abnormal spinal cord. They contacted my mother to come to school. There was a appointment made for me to go for a operation. What a shock it was for me and my parents. Before this findings I was always walking forwards bent, and if I suddenly had to come up I usually fell down on the ground crying of the pain. Everybody thought I was just looking for attention which was not the case they found out why after the test. Just before I went for the operation, my parents brothers and sisters and I went to visit a church in another town that we stayed in. while we were in the church service  the pastor invited all that are not healthy and well to come to the front of the church for prayer. My mother took me to the front for prayer. The pastor prayed for my spinal cord. After church we were invited to the pastor's home. I remember I was looking at the birds outside in the cages, I was called to go and eat. After the meal the pastor called us together and prayed for me once more. Two weeks later when I went for the pre-checkup before the operation the doctor said that he does not see the need to do a operation, he said my spinal cord was normal. Wow that was awesome I did not need a operation for the Lord healed me from a abnormal spinal cord. I don't know how religious you are that is reading this but I can tell for sure there is power in prayer and that the Lord heals is a fact, I am a living proof of it. Put your trust in the Lord with all your situations, He knows what is best for you.
